New Portfolio and Branding

My final semester at Herron required me to create a complete portfolio and brand identity for my work and design abilities. Here is the final product that was then shown at the Herron Senior VC Portfolio Show. Very proud of what I came up with!

I created a portfolio book by hand that encompasses the color and style of my overall identity.

Inside the portfolio book were individual cards that featured different pieces of design work through out my career. I created the titles to add an extra handmade element.

Mini portfolio books were created to give out to potential employers or clients. The books were created to mimic the design of the larger portfolio cards and seperated into three catagories -- art, experience, and innovation -- the same catagories that can be found on my website www.turquoisefeathers.com. The pages were saddle stitched, covered with chipboard, and finished off with turquoise feathers emblem.

My business cards and resume were placed into a muslin drawstring bag and stamped with a turquoise feathers emblem as well. The muslin bag was then tied together with the mini portfolio book for sending.

The business cards were printed at Faulkenberg Printing Company in Indianapolis. I had them glue two sheets of paper together for added thickness and easier edge painting. After the cards were printed, I hand painted the edges with an aqua color acrylic paint.

Above is my setup at the VC Senior Portfolio Show on May 3, 2012.

Until another creative project,

Jenny

Vintage Inspired Handkerchief Save-the-Dates

I AM SO EXCITED to finally have a chance to post these. I may be a bit biased because the bride and groom are so wonderful, but I absolutely love these save-the-dates! Blair and Danny's vintage inspired outdoor wedding seemed the perfect fit for a design such as this one. The variation of prints and patterns made a beautiful backdrop for a simple yet dainty and vintage layout of typography. I folded and attached the handkerchiefs to cardstock with ribbon for easier mailing in a lovely pearl envelope. I  hand wrote each guests' address in a beautiful script writting and finished with a custom return address stamp.   Enjoy!! :)

Until another day,

Jenny
