Seeds of Love

I love when I get the chance to be creative with my brides, and this invitation suite was no exception! Sherri and Randy were so great and trusted me from day one. They allowed me the freedom to come up with something beautiful that truly conveyed their love for the outdoors and gardening. The inspiration behind this invitation set was an outdoor field guide that would guide the guests in the ways of the wedding and the bride and groom's lovely story. We wanted to include a way for guests to plant their own vegetables, so we included a seed packet with each invite, all provided by a good friend of the bride. Sherri, being the amazing writer and editor that she is, came up with one of the most lovely wedding stories I have ever read, which I had the honor of putting onto paper. The tri-fold invitation field guide is printed on heavy kraft paper and hand illustrated. The rsvp features a creative mad lib for guests to fill out. Sherri let me know that they are going to have a prize for the most creative mad lib at the wedding reception! What an amazing idea!! RSVP cards were wrapped in the tri-fold invitation and seed packet and sent in a brown kraft paper envelope. Thanks Sherri and Randy for asking me to create the invitations for your big day! :)

James' First Birthday Invitations

So excited to finally be able to reveal these adorable first birthday invitations. They have been done for over a month now, but I didn't want to spoil the surprise for any of the guests who follow me on facebook or here on the blog :) I had such a fun time designing these! We wanted to do something that was out of the box, fun, and memorable for all the guests. When Lauren told me that it was a sports theme, I knew I had just the perfect idea. The circles allowed me to emphasize the shape of the various sports themed balls, display the necessary information, and create an excited experience for the families and children recieving the invitation. Such a cute final product and I couldn't be more pleased! Thanks Lauren and Ryan for choosing me! :)

I'll be back to chat soon with another creative idea :)

Edge Painted Business Cards

I have finally found time to blog...honestly, I think it is a miracle!! I have been so busy trying to finish up the semester, my portfolio, and last minute projects and freelance clients, that its been hard finding the free time to keep you all up to date on my where abouts. I am excited to finally be able to blog about one of my most exciting projects....my new business cards. Thanks are definitely in order to Brian and Jim from Faulkenberg printing here in Indianapolis for all their hard work. I have been working with guys for a while now and they never disappoint on quality and efficiancy. They are amazing! We decided to print them digitally, and glue two sheets together for added thickness. I had seen tons of examples of edge painted business cards, as its becoming more and more popular, and knew that I wanted to attempt it. Being a poor college student, I didn't have extra funds to pay for it, so I did it myself! I am beyond thrilled with the finish product and I will feel honored to hand these out! :) Thanks again Brian and Jim!

p.s. I made the Faulkenberg bragging wall, right in the middle too! so honored :)

Be back soon with more creative ideas...
